Nick,

So is HS more of an informal LUG?

Come by and see. It's a good thing.

Nice. Is this a one time deal or more long-term. Will we be needing an
> access point, projector or anything else?

Sorry that wasn't clear; it's long-term. We have the Aztek Networks
conference room, with appropriate fixin's. I even know how to run the
coffee pot in the kitchen. Show up! If you can arrange something even
better, cool. Meanwhile, we already have something right now, for this
week.

Come take a look on Thursday. Directions? http://www.azteknetworks.net

 if you would like

BLUG could do other stuff. We usually talk about lots of stuff after the
talk. Come join us!

They run out of people who'll do something other than show up.
If individuals won't step up and do stuff, the group deserves to die.

Showing up is good -- without an audience, why talk? But when people figure
"the group" will arrange a meeting place, line up speakers, get books from
publishers, maintain the web site and the mailing lists, emcee the talks,
.... then it won't happen.

Chris, who did *all* these, just quit.

Folks like Kevin Fenzi or Sean R* set up wireless access and projector stuff
and IRC channels. Many BLUG members have given great talks. There are
other jobs that now need doing. That Chris did them impresses the bejeesus
out of me.

I am working on getting some speakers lined up. Is there a calendar or
> any way to handle speaker coordination?

Good man! Sounds like you're now the second volunteer for Speaker
Coordinator! Cool. Show up!

Calendar? Excellent. Next HS, let's set up "Google Apps for Your Domain"
for BLUG. It'd provide a lot of the pieces, including a publishable,
web-available calendar. It'll be fun. Show up and we'll do it together.
After this Thursday, we'll have a month until the next talks.

Someone else have a better idea? Dynamite. Do it.

Hey, Chris, how'd you get the books?
