I had good luck with older Tyans, like a decade ago. However, around 1.5
years ago I got a Tyan 1U system in for trial, and the damn thing wouldn't
fit in our damn cabinets. I mean, there are international standards on
these things. I was pretty disappointed with it.
On the topic of 20 CPUs for $20k, the dual quad core systems pack a lot of
horsepower and you can get there with just 2 systems (minus the head-end).
