Installing with a CD or via a network
install to a root partition created specifically to hold the OS (/home
and friends are on their own partitions) is one way to make sure
anything that got mucked up since the last upgrade is cleaned off with
the next one. ... Besides, wiping the old distro with a clean install is
one sure way of making sure you wiped any rootkits and associated
nasties from the system.
When every install is a clean wipe, what process do you have for managing your config files.
