Are you troubleshooting a connectivity issue, or are there other
symptoms at work?

Of course, other folk might have a different story, but if you're just
curious and think the discrepancies might indicate an underlying
problem, I'd say you can relax.

This looks more or less like ping always does for me - through traffic
on the LAN will will introduce a latency factor into your ping times.
