Sounds to me like your NVRAM/EEPROM is dead if a hard reset won't get it
to boot. I've helped setup a ZOOM for a qwest static DSL. Don't remember
the model, but it eventually got fried too (probably line voltage surge
from the phone line in edlorado springs).
