[lug] Linux laptop/wireless recommendations

Steve,

I've been running a variety of distributions on IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads
for several years and wireless has always worked like champ. The
Thinkpads (at least the X-series that I use) generally come with Intel
2100/2200 series wireless adapters which are natively supported in
Ubuntu, though I suspect they are also handled nicely in other modern
distributions. I can't remember off the top of my head which driver
that adapter uses. Maybe somebody else on the list knows.

Happy hunting.
