Neal,
Thanks for answering my question. I am so excited to get my computer, it is such an incredible opportunity for all.
I was hoping I could network with you and the rest of the group. I'm a contract recruiter for a company called Applied Trust Engineering, we are a small IT security consulting firm located in downtown Boulder. We are seeking to hire three Network or System Engineers with a background in Linux and a four year degree from an accredited college. If anyone knows of someone seeking a new opportunity and has an appreciation of Linux, please forward my contact information. Thanks for your help.

Mine arrived on Jan 2nd, and I got a tracking number for it (and the
hotspot offer code) 4 days later on the 6th :-) I've heard that happened
to some other folks also. I ordered it on the 2nd day of the offer.
And I'm not complaining - this is so much fun, and the G1G1 program is
all about supporting the project, not demanding a professional (and
difficult and expensive!) customer care experience.
Watching the firmware run Conway's game of Life (a boot-up easter egg
you can find by experimenting or googling) brought me back to age 13
in 1970 when I read about Life in Scientific American. That is just
the sort of experience I hope kids around the world can now have at a
similar age.
It has, among other things, a glider gun just like the one you can see
here in javascript:
