[lug] backup ideas

 We have many people with laptops who never think to back up important data.

These laptops are a mix of various linux, mac os and a couple of XP's

Their data can be large.? We have gigabit in the lab.

What would be a quick way that we could have any of these laptop people just plug in, either to the LAN, or to a big external drive and do an easy backup?

Incremental would be ideal....
