Things that old should work, actually.  You may have to install
compatibility libraries though.

Here are a couple I had to install, for example:
compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-135
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-56

Your particular versions will probably vary.  It may even be a LSB
compatible package in which case you need the LSB environment from
package redhat-lsb (I think).

Or it might include every single library that it needs in its own
directories and use rpath (one of the ELF program flags) or a launch
script with LD_LIBRARY_PATH set.

All I can say is try it and see what happens.
