[lug] OT: netbook opinions?

I also just purchased an Asus Eee PC 901 --   Love it.   Wifi for me works
very well with the installed card -- better than any other devices I have.
I immediately installed CrunchBang! Linux rather than using the Xandros it
came with  -- CrunchBang is an Ubuntu derivative - using OpenBox for a
window manager -- very light - very quick -- and I also have an Asus
specific kernel which is supposed to help performance further..

I can watch DVDs, Xvids, etc -- play music files -- all over wifi here at
home  (over Samba from my central server).  1GB of RAM - decent CPU speed..
I'm very happy with it.  Graphics are fine.  Very sturdy.  The only
complaint I have at all is that the touchpad left/right click buttons take
quite a bit of strength to push down..  I typically have to resort to 2
hands to drag and drop, etc...

I haven't used any other notebooks - but I can definitely give the Asus Eee
PC an enthusiastic thumbs up!  Well worth the $
