rdesktop works well for me.  You have to enable remote access by right
clicking on "My Computer", select "Properties", then click on Remote tab.
I don't know of the magnitude of vulnerabilities this causes but I suspect
it's not too safe.

Perhaps you could even tunnel your traffic over ssh but you'd probably
have to set up an ssh server on that machine.
