Subscriptions to everything free that SANS provides, along with a healthy
grain of salt when their "experts" get on their soapboxes in the newsletters
and try to be editorialists instead of staying professional.
You can also read - or at least you used to be able to - all of their
student's papers on various security topics. (Some students are superstars,
others are writing crap just to get the cert - SANS takes their money either
way.)
If you're willing to dig, there's good info there. www.sans.org

I used to use Bastille and The Center for Internet Security as tools/guides
for securing new servers.
Bastille's latest is only FC8 and the CIS stuff is not up to date anymore -
I'm installing FC10
What resources do others use?
