Has anyone used the Gnome network configuration GUI to setup their network?
I find that it shuts down network (chkconfig >>? off off off)
I find only a couple of vague references and they may not be correct.
1) They're sure that the problem is that chkconfig was never on - but I know that isn't true -
?chkconfig network is on, I configure eth0 through the GUI, reboot, chkconfig is off
?--? ("Start on Boot" was DEFINITELY check-boxed in the GUI)
They're sure that t chkconfig was never on? - Solution is chkconfig network on...?? maybe for the wrong reasons
2)? They think the problem is Network Manager - solution is: in Services, turn Network Manager off, turn Network on
This has the same effect as:? chkconfig network on
Anybody else tripped over this?
