Free and open source software organization seeks experienced C++
software engineer for temporary 3 month contract to assist in further
developing an existing media server prototype. Background in Network
Servers, Systems Administration, and Embedded Systems useful. Prefer
full time commitment.
Must be well versed in UNIX and GNU/Linux – this is NOT a Windows position!
Must be willing to commute part of the week to Nederland area;
Independent worker;
Able to perform effectively within a free software “distributed” work
environment via IRC and email;
Able and willing to take direction from Project Leader.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining experience
in free and open source applications for internet and flash-based media.
The successful candidate will work directly with our Chief Technology
Officer who has 20+ years experience in the free software community.
