We are currently looking for a Sr. Linux Systems Administrator for a
full-time permanent employment opportunity in the Denver, CO area. The
candidate will be supporting the clients Linux environment.



Responsibilities:

    * Day to day management of Linux Servers hosting highly visible applications
    * Suggest and implement server scaling methodologies
    * Architect and configure highly available and recoverable environment
    * Maintain security audits and reports of server activity
    * Responsible for system uptime and disaster recovery planning
    * Installation, support, and maintenance of Red Hat Linux ES 4.x and 5.x
    * Performance tuning, networking, system security, monitoring, and analysis
    * Linux scripting (sh, bash, ksh, Perl)
    * Apache and Tomcat knowledge. Reverse Proxy using Apache 2.2 is a must
    * TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, Sendmail, Postfix,
ProFTPd, Rsync
    * Package management using up2date and yum
    * User and group management
    * Strong knowledge of LVM


Preferred skills:

    * Knowledge of Load Balancing software (haproxy, keepalived, LVS,
heartbeat, ldirectord)
    * SAN experience. Preferably, EMC SAN attached storage. PowerPath
or Multipathd
    * Experience running Linux on VMWare or Xen
    * System monitoring using Zabbix, Nagios, Ganglia, or Cacti
    * Experience using Red Hat Satellite Server




JOB REQUIREMENTS


Requirements:

    * Bachelors degree in related field preferred
    * 7+ years Linux administration, and 5+ years RedHat experience in
large distributed environment with automated deployment tools
