*Responsibilities:*



   - AIX maintenance, monitoring, and tuning activities
   - Work with DBAs and application Administrators to monitor and
   troubleshoot application and database performance
   - Plan and execute strategy to scale Unix environment according to
   application growth
   - Plan, implement, maintain, and monitor system storage requirements
   - Install and configure new environments as needed
   - Monitor and maintain system back-up and disaster recovery procedures
   - Maintain and audit system level security
   - Review, test, and install OS patches and upgrades
   - Configure and maintain administration tools for monitoring performance
   and change management

* * *Experience/Education:*



   - 2+ years of Unix Administration experience
   - pSeries hardware experience
   - SAN hardware expertise desired
   - Tivoli backup experience a plus
   - Linux Administration skills desired
   - Experience with Oracle 10g desired
   - Basic networking skills required
   - Experience in high-volume application environments desired
   - Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One a plus
   - Experience with Manhattan WMOS a plus
   - Strong analytical and conceptual skills
   - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
   - Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
   - Highly motivated self-starter who is innovative and quick to learn
   - BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
