"Long term", same definition, but there is no Fedora LTS. Never has been.

There are no major/minor releases with Fedora, only releases. It's an edge distro.

Fedora is a fast-release/developer/bleeding-edge distro. Support window is 18 months. Want longer? Use RHEL or CentOS.

Ubuntu interim releases are similarly supported. Want longer? Use only Ubuntu LTS releases (6.06, 8.04, 10.04, etc).
