[lug] linux distro on my windows laptop, vmware?

Why not dual-boot, or running windows VM-ed into linux? Or even live
CD or live USB?
I guess version of windows you are using matters, so you might want to
mention it.
Btw last time I ran windows it was 1999, so I can't help you much :-)
