[lug] linux distro on my windows laptop, vmware?

I've had the same experiences as Ferdinand. VirtualBox just works. And each
revision adds meaningful features. E.g., a year ago I couldn't run a virtual
machine with mulitple (virtual) monitors. Now it works flawlessly.
