Your setup is currently something like this:

modem (192.168.100.1) --- Linksys (192.168.0.1 w/ clients on
192.168.0.1xx) --- D-Link (192.168.0.1 w/ clients on 192.168.0.1xx)

Since the Linksys and the D-Link are both routers, assign a different
subnet to one of them to allow routing from the D-Link -

ie, configure the D-Link with IP address 192.168.1.1.

192.168.100.1 -- 192.168.0.1 -- 192.168.1.1

Once that's changed I'd expect to see the DHCP'd default gateway grab
192.168.0.1 - the upstream router.
