You can check the DNS settings on the machines on your network to see whether they are legitimate.

You can sniff the traffic just prior to your broadband device and see whether any DNS traffic is 
going to places you didn't specify.

If your boxes are using your broadband router as a cache and it is going to the wrong place that 
might be hard to detect.  But you can reload the firmware and redo the security config.

Assuming that Centurylink is seeing misdirected traffic from you, you'd probably like to find the 
source of it (before you start replacing MBRs).
