I am also on Squeeze. Do you really have a Firefox (Iceweasel) version 10.x?

Are you pulling backports?

I am still on Iceweasel 3.5.6..works fine.

If you did an in-place upgrade from Lenny to Squeeze, you might try
moving your ~/.mozilla directory aside, and letting Firefox
(Iceweasel) create a new .mozilla and a new profile inside. That way
you can rule out buggy add-ons or other old profile cruft.

You can always nuke the new .mozilla, and move your old one back, and
it will be as if nothing ever happened, too.
