I asked the VP of Engineering if a candidate really needed all the stuff in
that list.

He said, "Someone else wrote that.  I just need a really good systems
engineer.  Software guy.  Oh, and easy to get along with."  I assume he
threw in the last requirement because talking to me brought it to mind. :-)
