[lug] Kubuntu vs Xubuntu printer

Hi,

I installed a Samsung CLP-325W USB printer with Xubuntu 12.10 amd64
and it worked fine.  But with Kubuntu 12.10 amd64, no deal.

With Kubuntu, I tried the default driver.  The Local Printers menu showed:
  Local Printer: Samsung CLP-320 Series (Samsung CLP-320 Series).
and the driver I chose was:
  CLP-325 Foomatic/foo2qpdl (recommended) (en)

But the "print self test page" doesn't work.
Trying
  lpstat -a
gives
  Samsung_CLP-320_Series not accepting requests since
    Fri 23 Nov 2012 12:59:12 PM MST -
  reason unknown

The syslog is below.  Note the entry ********.
Why is it asking for Redhat files?

I also tried installing the Samsung driver from http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/
but it didn't help.

And I tried installing Samsung's driver, but that didn't help either.

Any suggestions?
