[lug] Anyone Notice anything weird on AWS this morning?

A bunch of my servers on AWS in the US-West-1 region had a really weird
load spike this morning with no apparent root cause. Anyone else see this?
In typical AWS fashion their status panel looks like everything is rainbows
and kittens, but the only reasonable explanation I've come up with is that
something over there went sideways for a bit.
