Summary of 'Software Patterns - Introduction to Foundational Wisdom for the Maturing Software Profession'
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this talk I will show the important role that patterns play during the
Software Development Process. I will make the case that Software Patterns
should be fundamental knowledge for Software Engineers and that they play a
key role in maturing the Software Development profession. Along with
introducing some of the more common patterns, I will share real world
examples where patterns were used to expedite development, reduce cost and
improve scalability. There will be time at the end of the presentation to
discuss your favorite patterns and your good or bad experiences with
applying them.
Pre meeting food
----------------
Food will be available at the meeting location, so please show up around 6:45 pm
and join us for a bite to eat. We'll start the meeting about 7:15.
