Just in case anyone is interested, I bought an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard
and so far so good. RHEL6 is installing and both network andUSB ports
are working normallyright out of the gate.
I was able to find this chart by Asus and that helped a bit.

I can only hope they keep it updated.
cheers
Steve

Can anyone suggest a desktop/workstation motherboard that is compatible
out of the box with RHEL6? I've had good luck in the past with gigabyte
but changes in their BIOS over the past year or two has killed me.
Ideal situation: ATX, AMD AM3+ compatible.
Acceptable situation: ATX, intel core i7 compatible
Thanks!
Steve
