Hey Rob,
I know you're a compiler guy but thought you might know someone worth
forwarding this to. The project is funded and in need of help. Hope it's
been a good season for climbing.
------
I'm casting this net rather wide, at some point we've collaborated at
some level, or if this is getting forwarded to you my name is Alvin,
I've got a photo up at https://github.com/amites if it helps jog your
memory. I've been building web-sites since 1999, mostly with django for
the last several years and I need help to get a project ready for public
consumption.
The gig starts yesterday and revolves around structuring genomic data
for a new bio-technology that will transform cancer research and related
industries. You don't need to have a bioinformatics background but it
certainly helps,
We're currently just a couple of steps away from a workable internal
release, but it's fragile and clunky with a slew of desired features
missing.
The team is awesome but small and overworked. I'm looking for 2 people
and if you're not one of them perhaps you know someone that could be?
1) that can rock python/django and help tie everything together, the
actual genomic data parsing is handled externally but there's still
quite a bit to do making everything play well together with various
internal api's, etc...
2) that has a strong background building ui's leveraging a strong
javascript framework like angular / backbone+handlebars or at a minimum
jQuery + bootstrap
As I said I need your help starting yesterday and this will be a
contract position to start, possibility to hire over time if there's a
good fit
We're based out of boulder, with preferences given to local candidates
but remote an option if you have the skills and the track record. Short
term (1+ weeks) also an option if you have the skill to make a
difference in that time.
Shoot me a message at amites at enzymatics.com / alvin at mitesdesign.com or
call me at 386-490-2845 if you have the time and are ready to hit the
ground running. If I haven't worked with you before I'll be sending a
small task to complete before making a decision, nothing more than 30
minutes to an hour if you know what you're doing, probably less if
you're the ninja I'm looking for.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea,
Alvin
