I have an old laptop for sale.

It's an HP with AMD Athlon XP2500+, 384MB RAM, 250GB hard disk
(replaced mid-life), 14" 1024x768 screen. It has a PCMCIA card
providing wifi G. And of course ethernet, USB, etc.

Keyboard has the Italian layout and shows a little bit of wear (but
you can use the $1 stickers to change that to your favorite language).

Battery is old, and doesn't hold charge for long, but it is good
enough to switch outlet, or save your work in case of a power outage.
Power brick is included.

I don't remember which flavor of low-powered linux I last installed on
it, before stopping using it. It has a Windows XP Home edition sticker
on the back, so you can legally install that if you feel so inclined
and can find the appropriate drivers (I can likely fish out the PCMCIA
wife disk).
