[lug] rsync option --delete

Interesting how subtle minor differences are...this worked. Never thought to name files that don't exist! Naming a directory though does exactly that.

Have you tried:
 
cd /rsync -avczr -e ssh --delete boot root at my_host:/embedded
 
I'm guessing in your tests the extra files inmy_host:/embedded/boot aren't mentioned in the source,so rsync ignores them.
