He currently has a Brother HL-2270DW, which is a black & white
wireless laserjet printer. However, it is not officially listed as a
cloud-print ready server. I really would like to set it up for him to
use with a Chromebook, but I don't want some hacked solution that may
result in him calling me for support. If something goes wrong, he is
not the type of person who is going to figure it out for himself, so I
want devices to be as compatible with the "native ecosystem"
out-of-the-box.

That's good to know, but I'm not sure he even has any type of office
suite installed on his current MacBook. I think he has his accountant
do that type of stuff.
I know that he uses his current laptop for e-mail and ordering
merchandise from the web. Printing is a must have.

Actually, it was seeing yours at the last BLUG meeting that inspired
me to suggest the C720. I've been thinking about setting his shop up
with some type of Chromebook for a while now, but didn't know which
one to get. When I saw yours, I thought "If the Acer C720 is good
enough for Jeff, it's good enough for my friends".
