Hi all,
I'm glad to announce the 2016 SEA conference, themed Data Science.
We are soliciting talks and tutorials on
- Big Data, Machine Learning and Data Mining for Science Applications
- Data Exploration
- Data Curation
- Data analysis, Visualization and Plotting
- Reproducibility and standardization in Data Science
- Best Practices, Testing and Workflows for Data Science
- High throughput data computing
- Introduction to Programming Languages for Data Science such as NCL,
Matlab, R, Python
- Advanced use of Programming Languages for Data Science
- Code-a-thon: trying to collective answer a scientific question with
a given dataset
Important dates:
- November 2015: call for talks and tutorials opens
- Sunday, January 10th 2016: Call for talks and tutorials closes
- January 8th 2016 (tentative): Registration for attendees opens
- February 2016: program announced
- Mid March 2016: Early birds registration ends
- Monday, April 4th 2016: Conference starts
- April 8th 2016: Conference ends
