FYI, when you do report the issue to the driver people, you'll want to include the output of "sudo lsusb -vvv" for that particular device. If you use lsusb with no options, then you'll see an ID; if you use the ID with the lsusb option "-d", then your output will be just for that device.

I have been trying to determin how to contact the usb driver team.
The Tripplite (Keyspan) USA-49WG 4 port usb/serial adapter no longer functions (no driver) due to a chip change and thus the pid changed from 131 to 1001.
Anyone tell how to report this so that it can get fixed?
