On the off chance that there's something in the library that the system
doesn't like, can you do this?

readelf -e <path to library>

And would it be too much trouble to capture more of the stat calls?

And -- last -- on the off chance that something has changed, what does this
do now?:

ls -alh /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5*
