Why Zoom? Zoom is antagonistic to many Linux distros and in general
any Linux without Pulseaudio not installed. Pulseaudio is the land of
1000 hidden mutes, and it's very state sensitive, meaning its mutes
depend on what has been run before. I installed Pulseaudio to get an
important Zoom meeting, and all my other stuff went silent.
Why not Jitsi? Jitsi is relatively light on resources, when used with
Chromium it works well enough that I conducted a 16 hour course on
Jitsi. Linux, Windows, Mac, and I assume BSD, Jitsi works wonderfully
as long as you use it in Chromium.
Another person posted they couldn't get audio on Zoom. I'm not
surprised, especially if he doesn't have Pulseaudio installed.
