[lug] RedHat 6.1 Install (attempt?)

Here is my update on trying to install RH 6.1. I started by booting the cd
from the cdrom and no problems there. Normally I would hit enter to start the
install process but when I did that I got some weird error and the install
died, telling me I could reboot safely now. I tried the other options
available at the boot: prompt and only when I typed expert did it work.
However, the process seemed really slow loading up (slower than any previous
installs I have done) but maybe that's because it's a cdr disk or just a
bigger distro? Anyhow, I got into the very graphic (for linux) installation
screen. They were pretty neat coming from the drop down menu's of previous
installs, however I liked those better :) . I was able to get through
everything fine, setting up my mouse, detecting my 2 pci ne2k nic's, setting
up the xserver, etc. My problem came when time to actually start installing
the packages (btw, if you are picky of what packages you want installed be
ready for a lot of dbl clicking on that mouse). It was able to format the
partitions fine but the process hung up on "Preparing to Install Packages",
I'm pretty sure that's the correct phrase it had. Anyhow, at this point my
mouse still worked, the display wasn't locked up, I could still toggle the
'help' menu, yet nothing was installing. I was only able to try this twice,
both times it hung up during installing packages. The hard drive I am using is
brand new (well one failed RH 6.0 install) along w/ an Intel 233mmx chip, I
don't think hardware is an issue here (maybe it is). Tonight will hold more
time for testing as I am at work all day today, hopefully things will go more
smoothly then.
