I am with eSoft, Incorporated based in Interlocken  (www.esoft.com) and we
need experienced software engineers.  eSoft Inc provides a family of
Linux-based Internet network appliances and services that enable small to
medium-sized businesses to harness the full power of the internet.  The TEAM
Internet family of products are designed for businesses with up to 200
workstations and provides low-cost, LAN-to-Internet connectivity and
includes a range of features, including e-mail, Web browsing, ICSA certified
firewall security, a Web server, remote access and virtual private network
(VPN) functionality.  

As a member of the Software Engineering team you'll have the opportunity to
work with leading-edge Internet technologies such as Java, Linux, DHTML, and
XML.  

As Linux Software Engineer you will be responsible for the research, design,
development, enhancement and maintenance of computer software products, in
conjunction with hardware product development by performing the following
duties:

-Develop and maintain knowledge of PC hardware, LAN and WAN networking, the
Internet and the Linux operating system.
-Consult with Sr. Software Engineers to develop design specifications and
estimated development time from high level product specifications;
Develop and execute thorough test plans and automated test systems to verify
that the product is implemented to specifications and meets or exceeds
quality expectations;


The ideal candidate for this position should have 
Direct experience programming on the Linux Operating System either in a
professional or home laboratory environment. 
Ability to program in object oriented programs (C++ and Java); Linux network
programming (Berkeley sockets) and working knowledge of the ISDN
communication protocol.
