[lug] boot problem

  So did you re-install DOS after you installed Linux?  The LI you see is the
  first two letters of LILO (LInux LOader), and it means something didn't go
  right (surprise).  Actually, LILO prints the characters to the screen
  individually, and this means you got through the first two parts.  Dunno
  what they are, though.

  Your best bet is to boot Linux with the boot floppy you made when you
  installed (right?), or a rescue disk that came with your distro, check out
  your /etc/lilo.conf, and rerun /sbin/lilo.

      after loading dos 6.21, and booting, the system stops showing " LI ".
