The sblive works great, but you need to get current emu10k1 kernel
modules. Some ship with kernels, these might be fine, but it is a work
in progress, and things are being changed or added every few days. The
recent versions require you to have kernel source installed and
configured to your current system while compiling the emu10k1, since it
is a kernel module that reads kernel source. Check out the emu10k1 at:
http://opensource.creative.com

There is also a digital mixer (aka dm) available there as well, which
changes often. Once you get the version you like though, you don't have
to download a new one every change.
