[lug] Not booting anymore?

I've got a Dell Inspiron 3500 running Red Hat 6.0 (I think it's 6.0)
that's been working fine for...9 months now.  I woke up this morning,
turned it on, and it froze after the lilo prompt:

LILO boot:
Loading new..........

And then nothing.  When I tell it to boot the generic "linux" kernel,
it boots okay.

I've got a third kernel called "old" and when I try to boot that,
here's what I get:

LILO boot: old
Loading old..........
Uncompressing Linux...

ran out of input data

 -- System halted

Any ideas?
