The WebGear aviators are pretty cool, but they are definitely much lower
performance.  We got a bunch of them what, a year ago?  They were nice
because they were $150 for two PCMCIA cards, and two PCMCIA-to-ISA
bridges.  So for $150 you got enough to connect two laptops, two
desktops, or a combination.

They stopped making them in favor of the "Aviator Pro" model, which
seems like it's the same rate.  Don't know about the price though.

I'm currently looking at upgrading from the 2Mbps Aviators to the
Lucent cards, but haven't been able to justify the minimum $600
investment to do so (cards for efm and I, one for home, one for
work).
