[lug] KRUD text-based when installed from HDD?

Interesting. I had to do it twice (first time I hadn't cleared /var after 
Mandrake) and both times  it went all the way through in text mode. I'm sure 
I didn't type "text" at the first prompt though I might have chosen "expert". 

I'm a little worried about this, though. When it comes time to do my monthly 
subscription upgrades, I'm hoping that I'll be able to use graphical mode. I 
still don't understand why it won't read the CD's. It seems to get worse each 
time I try to use it, too. Other CD's (e.g. JBuilder) are just fine.
