[lug] USB support under KRUD 7.1

I have just installed KRUD 7.1 (very nice, thank you) on a Toshiba Tecra
8200 1GHz laptop. The floppy drive is a USB one and at no point in the
installation did it work.

It seems that I don't have any USB support at all. This sounds (to me)
like a really dumb question, but how do I get the USB support, and then
how do I get it to recognise the floppy?

Not being able to boot from floppy lead me to some interesting contortions
in order to get Linux to boot since I couldn't install LILO on the MBR - I
have (and must keep) W2000 with the NT boot loader on the first partition.
I expect GRUB would have worked too, but I'm rambling.

Any help would be great.

Thanks a lot, Rob
