[lug] How reliable is Linux? (quantitative)

Running several servers, all with UPSes, we've never had a crash in
about five years (going back about five years, to Red Hat 4.1).  We
reboot them once or twice a year to upgrade hardware or software, but
other than that they run continuously.  Only once did we have a power
outage long enough that the UPS ran down.  We had power monitoring
software set up and the system shut down itself.
