A quick definition is "something that does not logically follow."  And
examples are:

  I like computers, therefore I love MicroSoft.
  The sky is blue, so all horses must be green,
  etc...

Getting back to the earlier post, Peter's point is that just because a
machine is behind a firewall doesn't necessarily mean it has to have a
"192." IP address.
