Hey, as someone else said, that DWL-650+ is probably *NOT* based on a
PrismII chipset.  See

  http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS

which *doesn't* list it as a PrismII.  There are plenty of cheap cards
out there that are PrismII based and will work nicely with Linux so
perhaps you should swap with someone or buy a different card.
