Agreed, and one step further: Install all packages with RPMs including
config changes.  We maintain 30 machines, many in production at a
colo, and there's no way I can twiddle configs by hand until I get it
right.  We allow months to go by before an upgrade completes.  First
development, then test machines, then production one at a time.  The
delay necessitates full automation, because we'd never remember what
we did.  We're still in the midst of an upgrade to RH 7.2, btw.
