[lug] Config help needed with mailman and qmail

I've been running qmail and mailman happily for a while but now I'm trying to add some virtual domains in addition to a "real" domain on that box and am running into problems. I installed vpopmail and seem to have it running, at least I can send email to those domains and receive it successfully. But I'm stymied by a mailman group/permissions problem it seems.

I used to have one of the colorado SPIN lists at colospin-steering at cleansoft.net. I created virtual domain colospin.org on that system and it very nicely added colospin.org:colospin.org to /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains. But I couldn't send email to colospin-steering at colospin.org. Digging in the manuals, I thought the thing to do was move .qmail-colospin-steering-* to /home/vpopmail/domain/colospin.org. But when I do that, and send email to colospin-steering at colospin.org, I get the dreaded WANTED_gid_502,_GOT_gid_89 message. On my box, GID 502 is 'nofiles' and GID 89 is 'vchkpw' (which is the vpopmail owner).

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm disinclined to reconfigure to take 89 because that doesn't feel like the right thing to do. But maybe it is.

Thanks,
  Mike
