Rodney,

It turns out that most of my problem was with our Cisco 805 router. We
had just recently upgraded our bandwidth to 512K and was just too much
for it to handle NAT and the new speed limit. I had full functionality
of the router but three noticeable features: I could not ping it from
the outside, could not telnet to it from the outside, and the third
being my internal DNS quit resolving for just external addresses.

Upgrading to the Cisco 1720 we now have resolved all of those issues.
There was a second issue in my DDNS that was the subject of the email,
and I have just stuck with the former default "ad-hoc". The recommended
"interim" style remained to be a problem with the W2K boxen. But hey...
"ad-hoc" does what I want and what more can I ask? When they get
"interim" fixed, I will be happy to switch; means nothing to me.

Hope I answered your question,
