[lug] need help with a mozilla plugin

I'm trying to view video loops from NOAA. I'm using mozilla and firefox. 
Both say I need a plugin, but I don't know enough to recognize what
plugin I need. The message I get:

This page contains information of a type (application/x-java-vm) that can
only be viewed with the appropriate Plug-in.

Two questions really: 
1. What plugin?
2. Where can I find a table of (application... plugin pairs, so that I
don't have to bother people with dumb question like this again?
